Price matching is not as simple as just taking someone else's price and using it. A lot of factors are determined on whether it's a logical step to price match someone.
Some criteria we take in to consideration is the following:
1) How long have said site been around?
2) Does said site deal with a lot of .COM orders or are they the typical store of no business and pushing eBay?
3) Do we have a hard time selling said product for our price?
4) Can we economically afford to match the price? (D2SUPPLIES is made up of multiple staff who earn payrolls; they must be maintained at all cost)
5) Is the user asking for the price match a regular customer of ours? People who submit but have never ordered are generally disregarded.
After these are considered if we feel we do need to price match the item might be subject to a one week grace period in which we monitor the competitors price. This is done to ensure they're not just having a sale or something similar. This FAQ was last updated: May 19th, 2007 @ 08:33 PM |
