I'm sure you've eBayed before, right? Everyone has by now and one thing we really like about their site is that you can 'Watch' an item, though it's a bit different from here and there it's a similar concept.
When an item gets sold a few things can happen. It can auto-delete itself like most rares, magics, and godly items do or it can auto-disable like some lifer gcs do and other items, or lastly it can remain in stock (most items do) and you have the ability to "Watch" the item.
When you watch an item you're basically saying that you would like to be emailed by the site the second the item comes back in stock. Once we restock the item it will cycle through and email everyone who has watched said item. If memory serves me correctly you'll be emailed that the item is in stock, how many are available, the priceing (incase it changed), and a direct link to the items subcategory.
Sometimes we eventually remove items that became too hard to obtain and you might get a watchlist entry that's bugged out (my fault, sorry!) and never dissappears but never restocks.
While we recommend you to watch items that are out of stock and of interest please don't abandon the idea of searching for it later. We constantly develop the website and many many times we've introduced some annoying bugs around the watchlist that prevent you from being notified. It's uncommon that happens but it has two or three times over the months when we re-wrote our item manager, account manager, and item editor systems.
