User accounts and generally locked for only a few reasons. We will go over them below due to recent influxes of inquiries about why someone might be locked.
We'll first go over the most common reason someone is locked. They charged back or reversed payments. This is done automatically upon notification of the fraud and if you don't understand why you're locked from this then there's little help we can issue you. This is not our fault, it's yours.
Secondly, it's done as a precautionary measure for people who do not follow the rules. For example, the second most common reason is someone has triggered anti-fraud detection on numerous levels and have been asked to verify their paypal account to continue making purchases. Often times, they do not read the refund note (again, not our fault) so we must lock them to prevent them froming tieing up stock with bogus orders we will never fill. Keep in mind it takes atleast 2-3 continued payments with ignoring our request before we actually lock them. It makes no difference to us if you choose to verify but we will cut you off at some point in time if you're not and you trigger anti-fraud detections. This is not our fault, it's yours.
Lastly, you might be locked for multiple accounts. We can tell based on over 15 different unique aspects if you've ever had an account on our site or ever even been on it. Our system is very good, and we often spot "multi accounters" all the time. We only lock them if all accounts are spending money or are very new. There's absolutely no reason whatsoever to have multiple user accounts. It goes against our policy and you WILL be locked. This is not our fault, it's yours.
Finally, we've perhaps "manually locked" 10 or 15 accounts out of the 16,000 at the time of this writing so feel free to make up the reason you desire but if you think you're some unique one-of-a-kind exception and we're just "out to get you" don't flatter yourself. Our system treats everyone the same with the exception of "premium customer only items" which have nothing to do with being locked and we really haven't used premium items in over a year.
There are no other reasons we lock user accounts. If we have repeated issues with a person we simply ban them from the entire website, which is far far easier than locking accounts.
We'd also like to say that while it's unlikely we'll unlock an account at all we do make exceptions depending on the circumstances. Obviously if you were locked for something minor we will probably unlock you. Just open an inquiry about it.
Please note that as a safety precaution to the anti-fraud auto-locking feature that whilst being locked your d2bucks are unaccessable because we often need to verify that they were aquirred without the usage of fraud which is the typical reason you are locked in the first place. Users in the clear will have their d2bucks automatically restored and functional upon account unlocking. Again, this happens to everyone that is locked, you've not been singled out. If we wanted to prevent you from using your d2bucks we would simply delete them.. again, that'd be much easier than locking you so you cannot use them.
