Ah, what a great song/album that is by Killswitch Engage, and quite suitable for our news topic to boot!
We're not dead, though it sure felt like it. I deeply apologize for the delays on orders earlier this week and late last. I've been severely sick. Our new order filler Agatha has been working during the mornings but the internet's been screwy for her and she's still quite "new" and learning so you've probably noticed some mistakes in your stuff ... don't be afraid to contact us and direct it to sales and I'll fix you up but please be sure to include your order #number as it helps a great deal!
Now for the bad news; there's always some of it when a news post is made right?  Well, sometimes it's good news too 
It seems we're no longer associated with our suppliers of past, or atleast, that's how I'll take it. This has put us in a bit of a pickle, if you will, since without suppliers a store is severely .... er... handicapped? Well, a lot of the time this week I've spent looking for new suppliers. Due to conflicting interest our new partner, with a great MF team, and us have severed ties as partners, but it was a friendly split and they still supply us with what they did prior to partnering.
The bad news about that is we're unsure if we can offer some of the ranges we intended t prior to our shutdown. We're also unsure of if we'll be able to keep many other items on our site such as the 30-39 chancies, 20-29 nagels, regular ravenfrosts, regular treks and draculs etc. Those make up a vast part of our inventory and are good for our site as it lets you make a variety of builds at a low price, but for the time being we might end up disabling them due to supply issues. The more serious front is that we've lost our major supplier. Why we have is unsure to us as we've not heard much about it but we'd imagine they maybe are trying to monpologize the market since many shops used the public dupes (not us) and are going out of business since it's patched. It could be that we've steadily been increasing our customer base and supporters and have now become a threat to some of the two or three shops bigger than us. Whatever the case may be, they seemed to of severed ties with us completly out of the blue.
That of course, is a big blow. Days prior everything was perfect and a lot of the new runeword ranges and offers were created through the assumption our relationship was still solid; we've got no idea what changed in literally one day but hopefully things pan out. We've found a possible new supplier we're working with but it could be a while before we have the stock and varity on some runewords/etc that we once did. Though it's a big blow it's one we'll deal with. Problems seem to run rampant in the d2supplies world so we're used to it, but believe me, we're not looking to close shop anytime soon if we can help it. At worst, we might in time have to deminish a lot of our runeword offerings and such but most don't use us for those anyways. 
Between the repeated blows we seem to get hit with and the fact I was extremly ill for around a week straight has left a lot of the site in shambles. I'm feeling a lot better now though. There's a lot of items I have to add to the site over the weekend so be on the lookout. I'll also try to disable all the items and ranges we can not provide for the time being so it doesn't look like so much is out of stock as it does, since our site reports around 21,000~ items in stock.
The good news, we had to have some good news... is that we just hit our 10,000th order. While I originally hoped to hit 10k before/by Christmas the underworld that is Diablo is ever changing and too many unforeseen obsticales held that back, but that's okay, in the middle of all this negativity this positive landmark of 10,000 orders put an extremly positive spin on everything. We are still here, serving thousands of customers and we plan to continue to do so.
Shanon will be starting within the next 10 days so that will help out a lot too and give us 8-10 hours of order fillers apart from me again, whew, maybe I can sleep!  All kidding aside, I thank everyone who has helped us reach another one of our goal. I'm really speechless and would of never thought when I put this site up that we'd have 2,500+ customers and over 10,000 orders logged. Thank you all very much. I've been running a few companies, both in real life and online, since early 2000 and this is the first (and the youngest one to boot) to hit 10,000+ orders processed so to me as a businessman in general it's given me the motivation needed to continue the journey, regardless of how grim it can be.
With all that said, I hope this weekend I'll get a lot of stuff added to the site. Sometimes there's just too much to do to get time ... maybe I'll con Adam in to helping out. As with most things in life, good things come with the bad. I think these last 2-3 weeks have been enough bad that some good has to come about by now. 
If you've ever wanted to work for d2supplies then this weekend might be your chance! I believe I'll be posting for some "help". More details will be made available in a news post, as well as all the information required to submit to us. For now I think we'll be looking for small traders to get some not-too-hard to get items. We're also interested in uber tristram runners who can supply unid torches on all realms, and unid anni suppliers on West. Like I said, check the news posts this weekend I'm 99% sure I'll be posting something. For all those who have, and continue to, ask us if they can work for us for currency/store credit/cash this weekend/next week might be your only chance to let us know while we're looking.
P.S. Excuse the emoticons. I don't know why I added them in but I figured it'd perhaps *spruce* up the news a bit. Afterall, it's got to be a bit hard to entertain yourself by reading this all, and I'm sure most don't, but for those who do, I  you |
